Limit ip access on a cPanel server

Sometimes servers can have a hard time when one single ip has too many connections to your server.

The solution for this problem is the limit ip connections module for apache.

At the following page you can find a tutorial to limit the connections from one single ip towards a certain domain.

Note! - Do not limit the connections too much, because this sometimes can make the website unreacheable. Values from 5-10 are suggested.

  1. I have to say, that I could not agree with you in 100% regarding Limit ip access on a cPanel server, but it’s just my opinion, which could be wrong :)
